I got in touch with John hoping he would perform whilst I proposed to my girlfriend.

John’s communication throughout was exceptional, offering excellent advice, willing to go out his way to make the moment special.

John was dressed in perfect attire and gave a perfect performance to match, which my girlfriend (now fiancé) absolutely loved.

A special mention goes to Louise, who was there helping make our evening one to remember, taking brilliant photos and a video.

Highly recommend!

I cant recommend enough, John was fantastic and everyone loved the bagpipes still talking about them now. From the very beginning when i seen john in the wedding fayre i booked him there and then, his communication was fantastic throughout the planning, he played all the songs we asked, my only down fall i wish we had him playing for longer, john and his wife are lovely people and i hope we get to see him again. Again Thank you so much for making our day that extra special.

We booked John for our best friends who were getting married in June. Whilst the bride knew we kept this as a surprise for the groom who had ancestry from Scotland. John was absolutely outstanding. The singer for the register signing was taken ill that morning and John stepped in to play during this interval without hesitation. Excellent communication throughout. He guided us carefully through the tunes to what was suitable for each of the stages. I would highly recommend John.

Outstanding, I canâ??t recommend enough! John is fantastic and everyone loved the bagpipes at our wedding. We are so pleased. From the very beginning John's communication was fantastic, we also met up with him to run through ideas for the day and we felt comfortable immediately, John is friendly and very helpful and gave us good advice and guidance which we needed. John made us feel confident about the runningâ??s of the day and he fulfilled this tenfold on the day alongside his partner who joined him on the day also. John is very professional and it was very pleasing to hear of his fantastic reputation from other suppliers when we spoke of him, they all spoke very highly of him which added to our confidence in him and completely agree that he is great! Having many Scottish relatives visit Wales for our wedding also commenting on Johnâ??s bagpipe playing speaks volumes. It really made the day special. Again I Highly recommend. Thank you!!

John was our piper for or June wedding, and I cannot fault John, he played exactly what we asked and when. He included a song for my partner on behalf of his late mum and played it specifically to my now husband, this although very emotional my husband loved it. John was very easy to communicate with and his partner Louise was lovely. I for one most definitely will use John again for any future events

My dad was a armed forces veteran too and his only request at his funeral was for a piper. John attended the crematorium, service of celebration and later when we buried my dad's ashes.

From the moment I started corresponding with John via email, I knew that I could have complete trust in him, which was really important at an already stressful time. Jphn's time keeping, appearance and the way in which he conducted himself throughout were exempt. He is also extremely kind and courteous.

I found John's contact details on facebook and I was taking a leap of faith, but what a leap that was. My dad would have been very pleased and myself and family would be more than happy to recommend John.

"John recently played at my father in law's funeral at Thornhill crematorium. My Father in law was an armed forces veteran and loved marching bands and scottish pipes. John's timing and playing was exceptional, though this was extremely comforting on such a traumatic day. Highly recommended without hesitation."

"John and Louise are both genuine and lovely people, we had john pipe at our wedding 23/7/18 at miskin manor hotel, and it has been the talking point between our guests ever since. The only way I can describe the feeling my guests and myself had the moment we heard john playing the bagpipes was breathtaking, hair raising, emotional and special. I lost my dad 6 years ago, and felt I really needed a part of my dad at the wedding as he wasnâ??t there to give me away, our surname was Campbell, and my dads fathers side of the family are from Scotland, something which my dad was very proud of and he loved the bagpipes, so there was no question about it, I just had to have John Campbell to pipe at the wedding on guest arrivals and in between photos for me to feel that my father was there, my gosh, it really did, it felt so personal and meaningful to me, and its an experience I will never ever forget. My guests have all said how the moment john started to pipe, the whole atmosphere changed and they felt that they were at a royal wedding. John's wife Louise took some stunning photos which I am forever grateful of. I cannot recommend them enough, I think anyone would be hugely missing out to not have |John pipe at their event, you donâ??t realise just how much of an effect it has on you till it is there in front of you playing away, you just get totally lost in it."

My wife and i got married recently and wanted to suprise our wedding guests, Being of Scottish descent we decided to secretly put some celtic touches into the ceremony and the reception, We met John and Lou at a wedding fayre and liked them instantly, We had found exactly what we were looking for. John and Lou are a Great team, lou waited in the background for the perfect time to release John from the Vestry and when he came out playing our guest jaws dropped. John came up the aile and escorted us out as our first walk as husband and wife, he then played as photos were being taken to entertain the guests and then piped us into our reception for a traditional scottish toast. since the wedding last week ive been told that the emotion inspiring sound of the bagpipes reverberated all around the Aber valley. We are so thankfull for John and Lou putting the cherry on top of an altogether amazing day. kindest regards from Gareth and Emma Evans

My wife and I hired John for our wedding on 3rd Feb. He was there all day from around 11am til about 7:30 and played high quality and varied songs on the pipes. His partner also took some lovely photos to compliment those of the photographer which we really appreciated. The booking through to the actual event couldnâ??t have gone smoother. John answered every question we had promptly and catered to all our needs. Would highly recommend johns services. Thoroughly enjoyed having you as part of our day.

"We are the Rotary Club of Abergavenny, we asked John to help us celebrate Burns night in 2018. Put simply, John made the night, not only with his magnificent playing, but also in the advice he gave on the running of the night. He also played a few pieces over and above what we had asked for which was very welcome. I have no hesitation in highly recommending him."

"John was AMAZING and was so friendly and explained everything that was going to happen and how loud the bagpipes would be. This was so important to us as we are a care home. We 100% are going to book John again. Would definitely recommend."

John was marvellous. He arrived early and helped advise us on what would make for a good programme in terms of when to play, the piping-in of the haggis, and what tunes he could play later and when. His playing outside the hall at the start was truly memorable for guests arriving, especially those walking across the village to the hall. Everything went well, and the guests all agreed that his performance was crucial to making the evening great fun and an event to remember.

John was very professional in all he did, on the preparation and performance on the main event was awesome. Cannot fault him on anything apart from maybe not staying and having a well deserved feed and refreshment; but being such a high profile guy and as expected he was on high demand and had to get away. Not surprised in the least. THANK YOU!!!! Recommend him to all friends and family.

John?s consummate musicianship made a lovely contribution to my mother?s funeral which was valued by all of those who attended. He was extremely helpful and diplomatic in making the preparations and gave us gentle guidance, drawing on his extensive repertoire and experience, in choosing just the right combination of pieces. I was impressed with the care he took in making sure he understood our wishes, the nature of the event and the location. I would recommend John?s services to anyone who has need of a piper ? and everyone really should have need of a piper at key events in their lives.

We decided to hire John for our wedding after hearing and seeing him at a wedding fayre at our venue. We were instantly charmed by his bagpipe playing but also his friendly personality. When we got more information from him on prices we realised that he was fantastic value for money so decided to hire him for the whole day. Everyone loved his input into our big day, his bagpipe playing was perfect and he looked great in his smart outfit. He really helped to make our special day feel very special for us, and also special for our guests who all absolutely loved him.

John - Piped for us before our Gloucestershire County Gaelic Football Championship Final on Sunday 24th September 2017. He arrived early and was absolutely fantastic, adding much splendour and adding that something special, to our event, leading the teams in a Parade around the playing field before the throw in. Made our great event exceptional and unforgettable.

"John has played at several of our charity "Moon Walks" and has been an absolute star. He has led our walkers up Pen y Fan, with the pipes playing all the way, and he has piped on the top of the mountain, for all to hear. This has really added to the atmosphere of the evening, and I will certainly be asking him again next year. In addition to the wonderful playing, he always sends prompt replies, and is a pleasure to deal with. "
