Our condolences to a #Cadoxton #Barry family on the loss of their loved one. The funeral of the local lady took place at Cardiff and Glamorgan Memorial Park and Crematorium afternoon.

I played the Bagpipes today for the Funeral of a local Bargoed gentleman. I lead the 4 horse carriage procession from the home address to "Amazing Grace". The service took place in St. Sannan's Church in Bedwellty, where I led the arrival of the cortege to "The Skye Boat Song" & "Flowers of the Forest", introduced both hymns before leading from the church to the "Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond". I met the cortege at Brythdir Cemetery playing "Flower of Scotland", "Land of my Fathers", "Myfanwy" and Classical Piobaireachd. We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the Family and many 100's of friends who attended.

Our Condolences to a Tonteg family who said farewell to their loved one today. The service took place at GlynTaf Crematorium & later for the Wake at Canada Lodge and Lake.

Very well done to the many runners who participated in #Rogueruns #SevernBridge10KHalfMarathon Runs today. It was a real pleasure playing the Bagpipes for you all and Thank You for the many positive comments I received during & after the races. Thank you to Andy Creber & Paul Dodd for inviting me again and to Gemma & Cherry (volunteer marshalls) for supplying the H2O on a very sunny and enjoyable day :-) :-) :-)

Our commiserations to a Port Talbot family on the loss of their loved one. The gentleman was originally from Aberdeen. The funeral took place at Margam Crematorium this afternoon with many family & friends for the final farewell.

I participated in a Funeral at Parc Gwyn Crematorium Narbeth today for the service of an RAF Veteran. From Glasgow originally, the gentleman lived locally. My condolences to his family & many friends.

A very unique experience Bagpiping for the Wedding Ceremony of Anya & Roger at Dan-Yr-Ogof Showcase centre Wales later Saturday. The guests arrived to the sound of the Bagpipes. I led Anya into the "Cathedral Cave" to "The Bridal Chorus". During the signing of the register, I was asked to play a number of tunes which included "Amazing Grace". The music of choice for leaving the ceremony was "Highland Cathedral" as it reverberated around the caves. A wonderful experience :-)

Fantastic day today meeting the newly married Naomi & Peter as they arrived at Oxwich Bay Hotel in the Gower, for their Wedding Reception. They were married earlier in Bryncoch Church Neath.

I was a complete surprise for the Bride, Groom & Guests on arrival. Bagpipes continued during drinks & photographs, before leading the happy couple into the Wedding Breakfast :-)

Great to see the Campbell of Argyll (Modern), Gunn & Welsh Tartan on display :-)

A huge Congratulations to the lovely Courtney & Matthew, who were married today at New House Country Hotel in Thornhill Cardiff. I Bagpiped for arriving guests, some of which had travelled from USA. A Celtic mix of Land of my Fathers & Flower of Scotland during the signing of the register, before Bagpiping out of the ceremony to Scotland the Brave and continuing during Wedding Drinks & Photographs. A great day :-)

Enjoyable day yesterday Bagpiping for the Wedding of Gwen & Craig. The service took place in Chapel Salem in Canton & later at Rosedew Farm Llantwit Major. The whole day was a celtic mix of Scottish & Welsh, which reflected in the many styles of music. Congratulations to a lovely couple :-)

Friday 11th August,  I attended the interment of a Grangetown gentleman. The church service took place in St. Patrick's Church and I met the cortege on arrival at Western Cemetery. My condolences to the family & friends.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable day today, Bagpiping for the start of Barry War Museum Open Day on Barry Island. Enthusiasts dressed in period clothing, displayed memorabilia, played war time music and included 'Lindy Hop' dancers. A fashion show of period costumes also took place on the platform of the attached railway station. I played for the raising of the Welsh & Union Flags & at other appropriate moments. Visitors were invited to view the museum and all the other displays & ask questions. A great day out :-)

Louise & I returned earlier this morning from Glasgow. I was competing in the World Amateur Solo Piping Championships. Although I wasn't in the prize list placings this time round, I had a 5th Place in the Jig event. World renowned Bagpiper Willie McCallam was our judge for the day. His critique sheets were very positive, praising many aspects of the separate events, which included: Classical Piobaireachd, March, Strathspey & Reel, finishing with the Jig.

Congratulations to Geraint & Eleri who were married at Llanddeiniol Church in Llanrhystud nr Aberystwyth Ceredigion yesterday. After Bagpiping for the arrival of 150 guests, I piped the Bride & Groom out of Church to a 'Guard of Honour' of Wedding decorated pitch forks. Best wishes to the Happy Couple for their future together :-)

Bagpiping Friday night 4th August, for Moonwalk II on Brecon Beacons for St David's Hospice Care with Brecon Mountain Rescue Team in attendance. After leading the start & playing at intervals up the route to the summit, we reached Pen Y Fan summit & a clear moon at 10pm. Congratulations to the 600+ walkers in support of St David's Hospice Care.

At Wenvoe Church (St. Mary's) Cardiff yesterday for the funeral of a local lady. I Bagpiped on the approach of the Horse Drawn Carriage, played in & out of the church and for the committal at Cardiff and Glamorgan Memorial Park and Crematorium Our condolences to the many family & friends in attendance.
